FUT Hair Transplant (Follicular Unit Transplantation)

Our Boca Raton Hair Transplant Clinic is ready to give you the best service and bring back your confidence.

Hair loss can be a very painful condition to deal with. It doesn’t matter the cause – if your hair is falling out in patches, you might want to consider trying an FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) transplantation surgery. This process will give back some of what was lost and hopefully stop any further thinning from happening on top  of that amazing new growth everyone wishes they had.

Hair transplants have been an option for people who want a more natural-looking result. For decades, plugs of hair were used in surgeries until doctors realized that this resulted with unrealistic results and began using follicular units or micrografting which gave them much better final outcomes.

Hair Transplantation is a permanent solution to hair loss. Unlike wigs or plugs, hair transplants make it look like your natural hair is just growing out of the scalp again! All this can be achieved in one day with most people being back at their regular activities soon after surgery.

At the Boca Raton Hair Transplant Center, we offer follicular unit transplantation (FUT) as a simple procedure that serves to restore your receding hair line. There are many different techniques for transplants and our clinic in Boca Raton uses an expert mix of tools with natural-looking results.

FUT Hair Transplant (Follicular Unit Transplantation)

What is FUT Hair Transplant?

Follicular units are the building blocks of human follicles. They’re small, containing one to four hairs each and can be transplanted individually for a more efficient treatment plan because we will place thousands at once rather than just two or three.

Hair Transplantation is the process of inserting healthy-looking hairs into thinning regions. It fills in gaps on a scalp that otherwise has only fine, course hair fibers filling up what would be empty space were it not for this procedure.

The FUT hair transplant surgery is a complex process that helps cover up thinning areas of the scalp. The strip comes from either side or back and extracts individual follicles for transfer to where it’s needed on top.

FUT hair transplantation is a technique that mimics the natural growth of hair. It ensures your new transplanted follicles will look just like yours and even start to grow again following surgery. The process takes place when groups of hairs come from donor sites near where you’re trying promote regrowth on top areas undergoing balding.

If you want to get the most out of your hair, an FUT hair transplant may be right for you. Hair loss can happen due different factors like genetic disposition or damage caused by stress which causes an imbalance in follicles and output ends up being thinning or balding; however this is not always true as some people are just born with less growth potential than others – but don’t worry because our clinic can help.

At our Boca Raton Hair Transplant Center Dr. Niranjan Shintre and his team carry out natural follicular unit transplantation procedures that produce long-lasting results for hair restoration surgery patients with thinning or balding patches on their scalp.

FUE vs. FUT: Which is More Effective?

FUT is a popular hair transplant procedure that can yield long-term results. In this type of surgery, doctors remove skin from the back and cut it into strips to cover thinning or bald spots in your head with healthy hairs for natural looking coverage! The size varies depending on how many follicles they feel will fit onto each strip– Usually not more than half an inch wide (or about 2 fingers) With 4 – 6 inches long., After removing these smaller pieces one at time ,The Surgeon puts them all back into the scalp in the thinning or bald areas.

With this type of hair transplant surgery, an experienced surgeon performs a delicate procedure that can take 4-8 hours. While patients are usually awake during these surgeries and given local anesthesia to numb their scalps for the duration – it’s not necessary in all cases.

How a FUT hair transplant procedure will generally look:

Remove a Strip of Skin from the Donor Site

The doctor will use a thin needle to inject lidocaine, which numbs the area around your temples for up 5 minutes. They’ll then peel back some skin on top of their work so they can see where you want more hairs growing.

Position Follicular Units

Your doctor will carefully cut tiny slits in your scalp for each follicular unit, trying to put them close (but not too far) from any areas where there are fewer hairs. This way you’ll have a more natural look and feel like nothing ever happened.

Post Procedure

Our staff members will give you instructions on how to take care of your scalp after surgery. The day after, any pain should go away within a couple days and the swelling too-but it can take up 1-2 weeks before all redness is gone as well. In fact by six months most people start seeing new hair growing in, but it can take up to a year to see the full results.

Ability to Conduct Large Hair Transplant Sessions

A hair transplant doctor can transplant many grafts when they use the follicular unit transplantation (FUT) procedure. This is possible for four reasons:

  1. A hair transplant is a quick and easy procedure that allows patients to go back into their daily lives within days of the surgery.
  2. Harvesting more grafts is possible with this technique.
  3. The recipient site is protected by an ingenious process that cuts down on the number of times they need to make incisions in that area.
  4. Extracting large numbers of grafts is the best way to achieve a full head’s worth, with enough one and two-hair grafted sections for natural looking coverage. Extractions provide an excellent hairline as well.

FUT transplants require that you have enough hair on your head to use as a graft. A man with androgenetic alopecia (male pattern baldness) usually makes the best candidate for FUT, as it often starts at temples or around M-shaped line of hair where women experience Ludwig’s Triangle which causes thinning in places like near part or topmost layers.

You should know that there are certain medical conditions which make you unqualified for the surgery. However, other ailments may still qualify as a good candidate if they meet all of these requirements:

  • Age: The FUT hair transplant is a popular procedure for people who are over 25. However, it can be done on younger individuals with healthy skins as long they have enough tissue and good blood flow in their heads to support this type of surgery!
  • Diagnosis: Men with the Norwood pattern of hair loss respond better to hair transplants.
  • Hair thickness: Patients with increased hair follicle density typically achieve better coverage.
  • Area of balding: FUT is effective for treating hair loss at the front and top of the head.
  • Hair color: Patients with hair that is the same color as their skin make better candidates because they have less color contrast.

FUT hair transplants are a safe and effective way to improve your appearance. A doctor who is qualified should carry out the operation, but there may still be some side effects including:

  • Infection of bleeding: The hair transplant procedure is a delicate and risky surgery. It may cause infection or excessive bleeding which can be life threatening in rare cases.
  • FUT scarring: The FUT method is when the doctor takes a strip of skin from your head. The scar may fade after some time, but if you wear your hair short it may become evident again.
  • Pain and Swelling: Some people experience pain and swelling following their procedures, but this can be managed with medication from the doctor.
  • Shock hair loss happens when donor hairs fall out within two months of the procedure. But don’t worry, your new growth will return in four!

With the FUE method, you have more chance of getting a good quality graft because it is done individually. This means that your surgeon can take care when harvesting and sewing them into place so there’s no risk in damaging important follicles or unit groupings by accidently cutting too much hair away at once with an instrument during surgery- which would cause less yield than desired (and potentially lead to train tracks).

When it comes time for scalp surgery, either FUT or even just a few strands of hair at a time can be removed with an instrument called “the laser.” The scarring from this type is typically larger than what you would get in case of something like FUE. This means they’re more noticeable after the operation and will stay with me throughout my life because these scars are always right there on top where everyone sees them.

FUT Hair Transplant Cost

These are some of the factors that can determine the hair transplant cost:

  • The price of hair restoration will vary depending on the clinic you choose and how many hairs are being transplanted. Some clinics offer a fixed fee, while others charge by number or weight (the amount).
  • The hair transplant doctor. The cost of the procedure varies between clinics and the experience of the hair transplant physician.
  • The clinic location. Clinics in some cities may charge more for FUT hair transplants.
  • The travel expenses. If you have to travel for your surgery, you should also consider the travel expenses.

At the Hair Transplant Clinic of Boca Raton we have a patient-first philosophy and offer transparent pricing with no gimmicks or hidden fees. You can save money because we deliver affordable transplants, which means you pay less than what the doctor will accept from other transplant centers.
